Check out these photographs by artist Cara Barer. She recycles unused or old books including encyclopedias and phonebooks into sculptures which she then photographs. The result is an image that is obviously a book but takes on abstract qualities as well. When describing her work she reflects on how people use libraries and books in the age of the internet. Who knew the Yellow Pages could be so beautiful?
